Timeline for New Students Starting Fall 2019

October

  • 2019-2020 Financial Aid application available beginning October 1, 2018
  • Visit your high school’s College & Career Center to find out when El Camino will be at your campus

November

  • Apply online!
    • Fall 2019 Application for Admission opens November 1, 2018
  • Attend College Night at El Camino on November 14, 2018
  • Prepare to take English and Math Assessment Tests
  • Visit Financial Aid Computer Lab at El Camino to start/complete Financial Aid application

December

  • If you haven’t yet, Apply for Admission online!
    • Make sure to remember your 7-digit ECC Student ID Number and MyECC login information
  • Take English and Math Assessment Tests
  • Visit Financial Aid Computer Lab at El Camino to start/complete Financial Aid application

January

  • Happy New Year!
    • Deadline to complete Application, Orientation, Assessment, and Educational Plan for Fall 2019 priority registration is April 30, 2019
  • Take English and Math Assessment Tests
  • Create an Educational Plan with an El Camino counselor
  • Visit Financial Aid Computer Lab at El Camino to start/complete Financial Aid application
  • Tour El Camino campus

  • Attend Warrior Smart Start at El Camino on April 20, 2019
  • Deadline to complete Application, Orientation, Assessment, and Educational Plan for Fall 2019 priority registration is April 30, 2019

  • Log into MyECC to view your Registration Appointment date and time
  • Register for classes
    • Help is available! Attend a MyECC 101 workshop or registration event

June

  • Log into MyECC to review your Financial Aid status
    • June 1, 2019 is Financial Aid disbursement priority deadline
  • Register for classes
  • Have a great summer!

July

  • The fall semester is around the corner!
    • Pay your fees before the drop for non-payment deadline
    • Purchase your parking permit (optional)

August

  • Attend New Student Welcome Day
  • Semester begins August 24, 2019
    • Weekday classes begin Monday, August 26, 2019

Orientation

There are 2 ways to complete the New Student Orientation.

Online: View using MyECC
In-Person: Call the RISE Center or view Upcoming Events for orientation opportunities.


Assessment

Drop-in testing is available at the Assessment/Testing Center (Student Services Center, Room 217).

If you are an in-district high school student, look for opportunities to complete your Assessment during a High School Visit to El Camino College campus.


Educational Plan

New students can make an appointment with the RISE Center, check the Upcoming Events web page, or make a Counseling Appointment to complete their educational plan.

If you are an in-district high school student, look for opportunities to complete an educational plan with an ECC Counselor at your high school, or as part of a High School Visit to El Camino College campus.

MyECC

MyECC is the online portal for El Camino College students.

Once logged in, students can view their Registration Appointment, register for classes, add/drop classes, pay fees, purchase a parking permit, check their financial aid status, make a counseling appointment, or complete the new student orientation.

For in-person assistance using MyECC, stop by the Information Desk in the lobby of the Student Services Center. Registration assistance is also available at the RISE Center or view our Upcoming Events.
