As part of new federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II requirements, all public colleges must make their websites, mobile apps, and digital documents, including PDFs, accessible under Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA.
The compliance deadline has been extended to April 26, 2027, but the law has not changed. Accessibility is a legal requirement, and all digital content must meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards regardless of the deadline.
This extension gives us additional time to do this work thoroughly and well. Please continue remediating your content.
Digital documents on the website that do not meet the accessibility standards must be deleted, marked as “archived content,” or remediated/fixed.
