Stephanie M. Slagan, MPA, is an accomplished higher education administrator with nearly two decades of experience in the California Community College system, specializing in fiscal leadership, integrated planning, administrative services, and student-centered resource allocation. Recognized for her collaborative approach and commitment to equity, she has led multimillion-dollar budgets, districtwide operations, and major capital and technology initiatives that strengthen institutional effectiveness and improve student outcomes.

Stephanie currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Administrative Services & College Advancement at the Palo Verde Community College District, where she provides executive leadership for fiscal services, facilities and capital planning, technology and information systems, auxiliary operations, risk management, and foundation activities. Under her leadership, the District has maintained a structurally balanced budget, consistently achieved clean audits with zero findings, and built healthy reserves to safeguard the institution against fiscal uncertainty. She oversees long-range financial forecasting, policy development, regulatory compliance, and financial practices that support mission-aligned decision-making.

Stephanie’s experience includes overseeing complex capital outlay projects and operational improvements such as seismic retrofitting, major building renovations, campus safety enhancements, HVAC and infrastructure assessments, and instructional technology modernization. She is known for engaging faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and students throughout planning processes to ensure facilities and operational investments fully support teaching, learning, and student success.

Stephanie holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Walden University, where she strengthened her expertise in public-sector leadership, organizational management, and policy development.
