Free Parent and Community Resource Fair Offered at El Camino College

El Camino College to Host Seniors Resource Fair

May 20, 2026 Torrance, CA

Members of the South Bay’s senior citizens community and their families are invited to join El Camino College President Dr. Brenda Thames in the “Living Well at Every Age” Expo on Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Services Plaza.

The event is the fourth installment of the Community Connect series, and will feature line dancing, food, health screenings, and a panel discussion on cybersecurity to safeguard against potential email scams, phishing schemes, and real estate fraud.

Free parking is available in the Lot C Parking Structure (levels 2 and above) located on Manhattan Beach Blvd. and Lemoli Avenue.

Co-sponsored by Torrance Memorial Medical Center, the free event will offer resources, fitness demos, and resources for senior citizens, their caregivers and family. Delicious food will be available for purchase.

Additionally, a variety of wellness workshops, including chair yoga, low-impact aerobics, fall prevention, plant therapy, medication management, Medicare 101, estate planning, and the Feldenkrais Method are planned. Participants can access free health screenings such as blood pressure, DermaScan, carotid thyroid testing, and stroke ultrasound screening.

Community Connect focuses on a different topic each semester, bringing community resources together while also highlighting the many programs and services available at El Camino.

The El Camino Community College District encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Linda Cooks  at [email protected] as soon as possible, but no later than seven days prior to the event.

Community Connect: “Living Well at Every Age” Expo is also sponsored by El Camino’s Office of the President and Library & Learning Resources.
