El Camino College has been honored with three awards recognizing outstanding achievement in marketing and communications from a statewide community college public relations organization.

The college received the awards at the annual conference of the Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO), which represents communications and marketing professionals at California’s 116 community colleges. The conference was held April 8–10 in Paso Robles, California. More than 500 entries were submitted across a wide range of categories in community college marketing and communications.

“CCPRO is proud to honor the excellent efforts of our colleagues in promoting the important mission of California community colleges,” said CCPRO President Jack Beresford, Vice Chancellor of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs at the San Diego Community College District. “Their hard work deserves recognition.”

El Camino College received awards in the following categories:

  • GOLD – Social Media Management for ECC’s Instagram
  • SILVER – Video: Quick Turnaround for the Hispanic Heritage Month post
  • BRONZE – Video: Promotional, Long Format for the CIP video

In addition, El Camino College also earned recognition from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations Paragon Awards (NCMPR) by earning a Bronze level distinction in the Logo Design competition for its creation of the MICASA logo.

CCPRO is a professional development and service organization dedicated to promoting excellence in California community college public relations and related professions. It serves as a central resource for information and provides counsel and support for advancing community colleges statewide and fostering professional growth among its members.

NCMPR is the premier professional organization in the United States and Canada exclusively dedicated to supporting marketing, communication, and public relations professionals working at community and technical colleges

“These honors reflect the creativity, dedication, and strategic storytelling of El Camino College’s marketing and communications team in sharing the college’s mission and impact with the community,” said Ann O’Brien, Executive Director for El Camino College’s Marketing and Communications Department.
