El Camino to Host Parent and Community Resource Fair
El Camino College invites all parenting students, faculty, staff, their children, and community members to a Parent and Community Resource Fair from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Student Services Plaza.
This free, fun-filled experience for the whole family gives parents and caregivers an opportunity to connect with important resources while children join exciting activities, including trick-or-treating around campus from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sponsored by El Camino’s Student Services and Childhood Education Department, participants will find out about the free or low-cost resources that are available to them through El Camino and a variety of community organizations.
“The Parent and Community Resource Fair and campus trick-or-treating are designed to create a welcoming and supportive environment for parents, children and families,” said childhood education professor Cynthia Cervantes. “This is one of the many ways El Camino College supports our parenting community and their families.”
Information about childcare, mental health resources, education, and health care will be offered. Free groceries will be given to attendees (while supplies last), and other surprise giveaways are also planned. Free parking is available in Lot C.
The El Camino Community College District encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Cynthia Cervantes at [email protected] as soon as possible, but no later than seven days prior to the event.
Families can make a reservation and learn more about the El Camino College Parent and Community Resource Fair at www.elcamino.edu/events/parent-community-resource-fair/.
