Free Parent and Community Resource Fair Offered at El Camino College

May 15, 2026 Torrance, CA

All parenting students, faculty, staff, their children, and community members are invited to El Camino College for a free Parent and Community Resource Fair, set for 3 to 7 p.m. May 20 at the Student Services Plaza.

Events are planned for the whole family, as parents and caregivers connect with vital resources. Fun activities for children, free raffle opportunities, and snacks are also on the day’s agenda, along with a “Resources Quest” family activity that runs throughout campus from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Visitors are asked to check in at the Student Services Plaza to receive a map.

Sponsored by El Camino’s Student Services and Childhood Education Department, in collaboration with the college’s Basic Needs Center and the Associated Students Organization, the event is designed to share information about the free or low-cost resources available at El Camino and through a variety of community organizations. Childcare, healthcare, education, and mental health resources are just some of the services that will be represented at the event. Participants will also be able to access free gently used clothing, toys, books, and more. Free parking is available in Lot C.

“The purpose of the Parent and Community Resource Fair is to provide a welcoming environment for parents and their children and also to share a variety of resources to support children and families,” said childhood education professor Cynthia Cervantes. “All are welcome.”

The El Camino Community College District encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Cynthia Cervantes at [email protected] as soon as possible, but no later than seven days prior to the event.

Families can reserve a spot and learn more about the El Camino College Parent and Community Resource Fair.
