Phone Service Disruption - ECC Campus

El Camino College (ECC) is currently experiencing a campus-wide telephone service outage due to a fire that occurred early Sunday morning at an AT&T facility in the Gardena area. This incident is affecting our ability to place and receive external calls to and from the College.

Important:

  • 9-1-1 emergency call service remains fully operational.
  • Calls between campus extensions are not affected and will continue to work normally.
  • At this time, AT&T has not provided an estimated timeframe for restoring service. The Information Technology Services (ITS) team is actively monitoring the situation and evaluating alternate communication options should the outage last for an extended period.

In the meantime, for all off-campus communications, please use:

  • Email (for non-urgent matters)
  • Microsoft Teams (chat, audio, or video)
  • Cell phones (voice or text)

We will provide updates as soon as new information becomes available from AT&T or when alternate solutions are ready to be implemented.
