Laptop and Calculator Check-Outs, Renewals, and Returns
Laptop and Calculator Distribution for Spring 2025 Term
Date: Begins 2/18/25
Hours: 8am
Location: El Camino College Library @ the Library Services Desk in the lobby.
**Loans are on a first-come, first-served basis. Supplies will be limited.
Laptop and Calculator Return for Spring 2025 Term
Date: Due 6/17/25 - no late fee
Hours: 8am - 4pm
Location: El Camino College Library @ the Library Services Desk in the lobby.
Please note that the library will be closed from 6/18/2025 through 6/20/2025 (6/19/2025
is a holiday)
Students will be fined for any calculator not returned, but calculators can be returned early.
Spring 2025 Fines:
Students will be fined a replacement fee of $500.00 - $900.00 (depending on model) for lost, stolen, or broken laptops..
*Automatic fines if laptop or calculators remains unreturned or unrenewed.
Laptop and Calculator Distribution for Summer 2025 Term
Date: Begins 6/23/25
Hours: 8am - 6pm

Appeal for Stolen Item:
Stolen laptop appeal process: Submit a police report and fill out the form here. The appeal process applies only to laptops. The appeal link does not renew your items. TI-84 calculators will be fined for loss, breakage, or theft.
Hotspot Loan Program Update:
El Camino College has discontinued its hotspot loan program.
Students with hotspots on loan have been charged the $175.00 lost item fee.
Printing
Printing is free for students. Each semester students are allocated 200 pages worth of print credits. More credits can be allocated up by staff in The Study Center. Maximum print credits for a semester is 500 pages.

Computer Labs
- The Study Center, located on the second floor of the Schauerman Library
Printing and Copy
Black and white and color printing is available in The Study Center computer lab and copying is available in the Tutoring Center. Both are located on the second floor of the Schauerman Library.
Send your documents to a printer in the student computer labs.
