Road Map Designed for Success

The Warrior-Toro Computer Science Pathway (WTCSP) is a cohort-based program offered in a partnership between El Camino College and California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) that provides a structured and supported prescribed course pathway for students to complete a bachelor's degree in computer science in four years.

Join the WTCSP program and become part of a learning community with other students pursuing a degree in computer science. Over the course of your time at El Camino, your cohort will take most of your classes together, study together, and receive significant additional support including enrichment sessions, tutoring, project work, and guidance to apply for competitive internship experiences. As part of the WTCSP program, you will also be eligible for a need-based scholarship of up to $10K total over 2.5 years.

The program aims to:

  • Provide a clear guided pathway that guarantees graduation
  • Create meaningful opportunities for career growth and development
  • Remove frequently encountered barriers when navigating college life
  • Connecting industry partners with our students for internships and jobs  

Students must commit to following the prescribed course pathway and maintaining good academic standing. El Camino College and CSUDH are the second to offer this pathway in the state following the successful cohort of California State University Monterey Bay and Hartnell College and the first to offer it in Southern California.

  • Students must submit an ECC Application for the summer term before their 1st fall semester. 
    • ex. 1st fall semester is fall 2022, you will need to apply for summer 2022
  • Complete the enrollment process for El Camino College 
  • Have less than 24 transferable units
  • Have Algebra II, Geometry, and preferably
    Pre-Calculus completed
  • Agree to follow the prescribed course pathway and participate in all program activities for 5 consecutive semesters
    • (4 semesters at El Camino College and 1 semester at CSUDH)

Students with a GPA below 3.0 will need to submit a one-page statement with their application explaining the reason for their current GPA and a plan for succeeding in this program.

  • Graduate in four years! No delays due to class availability or registration issues

  • Academic: To help stay on track and ensure you graduate on time, you will be required to participate in weekly meetings with the academic coordinator. These meetings are designed to help you stay on track with classes and ensure your success in all aspects of college life.
  • Financial: Students that qualify for the Pell and Cal Grants through the FAFSA Application, are eligible for a $10,000 scholarship for 5 semesters,. You do not need to apply for this scholarship. Students apply for this program are automatically considered for the scholarship. 
  • Enrichment Activities: Students in this program participate in conferences, workshops, and internships that will connect them with industry partners earlier in their college career.

Information Session Dates:

  • Wednesday, February 23, 4-5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 23, 4-5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 27, 4-5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 25, 4-5 p.m.


  • The Priority Application Period is January 30th through April 30th. The final application deadline is June 3rd. 
  • Applications will be evaluated as we receive them.
  • Students that submit a completed application will be invited to a group interview.
  • Group interviews are conducted in April, May, and June. 
  • You will receive an admission decision 2 - 3 weeks after your group interview
  • If you accept our offer to join the Warrior-Toro CS Pathway program, you will submit a commitment form
  • You will start the program in July.
