Duties & Responsibilities

1. Complete the traineeship requirements (95 hours) within the agreed upon time frame.
2. Complete a 40-hour online training course with support from a qualified supervisor.
3. Pass a competency assessment given by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
4. Apply for, take, and pass the exam to become a Registered Behavior Technician (5 hour)
5. After becoming a Registered Behavior Technician, trainee will work for an additional 50 hours with clients.
6. After successful completion of the program, trainee will be re-classified as a regular Behavior Intervention Specialist and hourly rate will change accordingly.

Salary: $16.04/ hour
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 3:15pm-5:30pm

Qualifications

    - Have a passing score of 70% on the district academic proficiency test
    - Must be currently enrolled in a WASC accredited college or institution

Position Details:

The Coordinating Teacher position requires complex thinking and problem solving to demonstrate a sense of fairness and good judgment.  It requires effective communication with children, staff, parents and elementary school personnel, as well as, multitasking and re-prioritizing of job duties, competent record keeping and basic computer skills.  The Coordinating Teacher works with multiple centers caring for preschool and school age students throughout the year.

-Basic Requirements:
