Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies

The Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies program uses gender and sexuality as categories to analyze society. Using interdisciplinary perspectives from history, literature, cultural studies, social science, and science, students will explore the social meanings of gender and sexuality and how they intersect with race, ethnicity and class. Students can earn an Associate Arts for Transfer degree and transfer to a four-year university to prepare for careers in fields such as teaching, communications, marketing, community outreach, and journalism.

Our Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies Associate of Arts (AA) degree typically takes up to two years. Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies at El Camino will challenge you to be your best. We’ll be here to help.
