Accessibility & Accommodations

The commencement ceremony has several accessibility services to meet the needs of our guests.

Accessibility Services

Disability Seating

Disability seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Disability seating is located in front of the stadium railing and is reserved for guests with disabilities and one companion.

Sign Language Interpreting

The southeast section of Murdock Stadium is designated for our Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) guests. American sign language (ASL) interpreters will be stationed in front of this section and sign during the commencement ceremony.

In addition, listening devices are available in the Murdock Stadium box office, which is located on the exterior of the southeast entrance.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available in all lots, including Lots C, F, and H.

We highly recommend guests use accessible parking spots in Lot F due to its close proximity to Murdock Stadium and the availability of accessible paths. Please make sure your vehicle displays the appropriate disabled parking placard or license plate.

Accessible Drop-Off Location

Guests with a mobility impairment may be dropped off in Lot F in front of the west Stadium entrance. Drivers can then park their vehicles in any student or accessible parking spot.

On-Campus Transportation to Stadium

Guests who have a mobility impairment may request transportation to Murdock Stadium from Lot F.

Carts will be picking up guests who have a mobility impairment plus one companion from specific Lot F locations and driving to either the southeast or northeast Stadium entrances.

Please Note:

  • Due to limited space, more than one companion is not permitted on the cart. An ADA complaint cart will be available for guests in wheelchairs.
  • After the ceremony, please wait at the location you originally disembarked from the cart for transportation back to Lot F.
  • Anticipate long wait times for a cart to assist you. Crowds may impact the cart's ability to arrive to your location quickly.
