Interested in going to a conference? Find out the process below!
Important notes:
Travel forms must be submitted before travel is completed.
Reimbursements will not be processed if travel authorization is not submitted ahead
of time.
Even if not seeking reimbursement, a travel form must be submitted for out of district
travel, or in district travel that lasts for an entire day or more. This is to cover
you with college insurance while traveling.
Any travel requests must be submitted a minimum of two weeks in advance.
Travel over $1,000 requires the approval of the Vice President.
Travel out of the country requires board approval, requests should be put in a minimum
of 6 weeks in advance, but more time is highly recommended – 8 weeks would be safer,
so you don’t miss a board deadline.
Submit the request to your Division or Department Conference Committee.
Once you have received approval you can submit the Travel Form.
Check with your Division to find out
If you were not able to get enough travel funds from your Division or Department,
you can request to have the District-Wide Conference Committee to determine if there
is funding available.
If submitting for District-Wide Conference funds please plan in advance so that your
Travel form can still be approved before your conference.
Managers will need to work with their Supervisor to determine if there are travel
funds to support conference attendance.
