El Camino College Plans 26th Annual Job Fair
On-campus event offers multiple opportunities to network, discover a variety of career paths
El Camino College’s Career Services – in partnership with the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB) – will present the 26th Annual Job Fair, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28 on the Student Services Plaza.
El Camino students will be able to explore a variety of career options with more than 115 industry-leading employers as they connect with hiring professionals, network with business leaders, and take a significant step toward their future goals. Some employers may offer on-the-spot job interviews, so students are advised to bring at least two resumes and dress business casual. Students can get help with building an effective resume by making an appointment with Career Services, or by attending a resume workshop. Registration for students is currently open.
Some of the employers planning to attend the event will be offering positions in medical, health care administration, manufacturing, transportation, retail, customer service, food service, office and clerical, government, child care, construction, education, social services, automotive, security, professional services and more.
The Career Services office at El Camino College offers numerous resources designed to help students explore potential majors and careers. Participants can also learn about the college’s new Intern South Bay program, which connects El Camino students directly to area employers. Appointments with career counselors, resume building guidance, and workshops covering topics such as choosing a major and how to get the most from LinkedIn are just some of the services available. Students can also drop in at various areas on campus if they have a quick question about their major and/or career path.
Students can learn more about the upcoming 26th Annual Job Fair online, register to attend, and discover all that is available at El Camino College Career Services.
The El Camino Community College District encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible, but no later than seven days prior to the event.
