El Camino College to Host Fall University Fair
Students are invited to learn more about transfer opportunities and meet with representatives from more than 60 colleges and universities at El Camino College’s Fall University Fair, set for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 17 on the Library Lawn. Information about the transfer process, academic admission requirements, campus life, and more will be available at this informative event.
Sponsored by El Camino’s Transfer Center, the annual Fall University Fair brings a wide range of universities to campus, giving students the chance to explore educational opportunities, ask questions, and learn what each campus offers. Information about admissions, majors, housing, financial aid, campus resources, and other services will also be available.
El Camino regularly ranks in the top 10 in the state for students transferring to the University of California and the top five for students transferring to the California State University system. Representatives from those institutions, along with reps from private and out-of-state colleges and universities, plan to attend the Fall University Fair.
“Connecting students to university representatives is an important step in their transfer exploration and educational journey,” said Dr. René Lozano, award-winning counselor and coordinator of El Camino's Transfer Center. Dr. Lozano is a recent recipient of El Camino College's 2026 Distinguished Full-Time Faculty Award.
Transfer Center services are designed to help students discover potential transfer institutions, learn about transfer admission requirements, and find increased motivation to transfer. Several events throughout the year help guide students through the transfer process, such as workshops, representative visits, university tours, application assistance, and other activities. Students can access personalized assistance with their transfer journey, so they are prepared to make their best transfer decision.
The El Camino Community College District encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact the Transfer Center as soon as possible, but no later than seven days prior to the event.
