Spring University Fair Scheduled at El Camino College

Representatives from four-year colleges and universities will offer info, answer student questions

El Camino College will present its annual Spring University Fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 19 on the Library Lawn. Students are invited to connect with a wide variety of colleges and universities as they learn more about admission requirements, the transfer process, academic programs, campus life, and more. 

Representatives from more than 60 higher education institutions will be available to provide information and answer questions. Staff members from the University of California (UC), California State University (CSU), and private colleges and universities plan to attend.

“We encourage students to explore their options in higher education and having the opportunity to network with university reps is an important part of the transfer process,” said El Camino College counselor and Transfer Center Coordinator René Lozano.

The University Fair is just one of the many events organized by El Camino’s Transfer Center, which is open year-round as a resource to help students transfer. University tours, workshops, visits from university representatives, and customized advisement are other services offered at the Transfer Center. Out of the 116 California Community Colleges, El Camino regularly ranks in the top 10 in the state for students transferring to the University of California and the top five for students transferring to the California State University system.
