Día de los Muertos is a living tradition that connects identities across borders. Through remembrance, storytelling, art, andcelebration, families honor loved ones whohave passed while reaffirming the bonds thatcontinue beyond death. Join us as we examine the origins, symbolism, and evolution of this tradition and learn why UNESCO recognized Día de los Muertos as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. If you’ve ever wondered what to say, this training is for you. California law protects undocumented students. It also calls on public schools to support their academic, professional, and technical development. That means all of us: Teachers, staff, administrators. Counselors across California have begun building a growing network that knows how to guide immigrant families with clarity and confidence. So let’s spread the word. Let’s bring our neighbors. Our aunts and families. Our church groups and old high school counselors.
