El Camino’s teacher education degree program starts you on a path to becoming a K-5 elementary school teacher with a multiple-subject teaching credential. Students study a broad range of subjects to prepare them for teaching, including English, mathematics, science, social science, visual and performing arts, and human development. This is an accessible, direct path to completing a bachelor's degree and earning a teaching credential at a California State University campus.

The AS-T degree in early childhood education sets you on a direct path to complete a bachelor's degree in a similar major at a CSU campus. You will also get priority consideration for admission to the CSU system.
