Machine Tool Technology Pre-Apprenticeship

In partnership with South Bay Adult School, El Camino College is offering a free, pre-apprenticeship program in Machine Tool Technology. As part of this program, students will have their tuition fees, books and supplies provided at no cost. 

The program consists of four, eight week courses which will culminate in an El Camino College Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Certificate of Achievement. In addition to the Machine Tool Technology courses, students will participate in South Bay Adult School weekly courses where they will learn the basic skills, softs skills and the work readiness skills needed to be successful in employment or an apprenticeship program. Upon completion of the program, students will receive assistance with applying for apprenticeship programs and jobs in advanced manufacturing. 

El Camino College is currently recruiting a cohort of students to participate in Fall 2020 for courses that will begin on Monday, August 24th.

The schedule is Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM- 12:30 PM. You must be available for this schedule to participate in this program, however, there are other Machine Tool Technology courses available to you outside of this special program. To view a list of all El Camino College course, click here.
