The South Bay Adult Education Consortium was formed in response to Assembly Bill 86 (AB86) which provides one-time funding to redesign the delivery of adult education in California. The Legislature has committed funds to regional consortia of K-12 school districts and community college districts to develop plans for expanding and improving adult education services. By creating linkages between the educational systems, AB86 provided the opportunity for developing the statewide collaboration and regional approach needed to better serve the educational needs of adults. As of now, this funding is on-going.
