Students will identify and learn at least two criteria needed to successfully access at Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) for their special needs.

Students who attend the Foster & Kinship Care Education (FKCE) Program's renewal classes will learn information and strategies that enable them to support the child's safety, well-being, and permanence needs and effectively use trauma-informed strategies to meet the needs of the children in their care.

Partnering for Safety and Permanence – Model Approach to Partnerships in parenting (PS-MAPP)

Students attending the Partnering for Safety and Permanence – Model Approach to Partnerships in parenting (PS-MAPP) class will gain the knowledge and skills that enables them to select whether or not to foster or adopt at this time.
