Enrollment fees and other per-term fees are waived for K-12 students who complete the Steps for Dual Enrollment.
Follow the instructions below in the event you are charged fees or have a hold on your account for fees.
K-12 students are required to complete the Steps for Dual Enrollment to dual enroll in classes. Completing these steps makes a student eligible for a K-12 Fee Waiver to waive the fees for their approved courses.
In some instances, this K-12 Fee Waiver needs to be manually added or adjusted by the Admissions & Records Office to correctly waive a student's fees.
The Dual Enrollment Office regularly sends reports of K-12 students who have completed the steps to El Camino's Admissions & Records Office to request that students are not dropped for non-payment and to waive any fees. There is nothing else that affected students need to do.
Before your fees are waived, please do not pay the incorrect fees!
Students who pay may be eligible for a refund at some point after their fees are waived, but this is a function of the Cashier's Office which runs on a cycle.
K-12 students with an outstanding balance on their account may experience a Fees Hold which prevents them from registering for future classes until the hold is removed.
The Dual Enrollment Office can remove a hold for incorrect fees to allow students to register for classes — but we cannot waive the fees themselves. Holds may return again in the future unless the fees are waived.
Students can contact El Camino's Admissions & Records Office to ask to expedite the waiving of their incorrect fees.
