All international students on an F-1 visa who are enrolled at El Camino College are required to purchase medical insurance through our college-approved carrier. The cost is $1,523 per calendar year (12 months) and is split into two payments of $761.50/6-months billed with your tuition at time of registration for each semester (fall and spring). How to Get Your Insurance ID Card
The insurance ID card will be emailed to your ECC student email. Visit the Student Insurance website for additional assistance.

Student Health Services (SHS) strives to engage, educate and empower El Camino College students in healthy behaviors through developing, implementing and supporting a wide range of wellness activities based on solid research and best practices.
It is recommended that international students first visit the campus Student Health Services for general medical care. The staff at the Health Center will provide many free services by appointment to include:

Student Health Services is closed on weekends, holidays, and school breaks, and there are no night/weekend services.
