El Camino College Plans Fall “College Night” Event
El Camino College welcomes prospective students, parents, adult learners, educators, and community members to “College Night,” an event designed to showcase all that El Camino has to offer. Visitors are invited to attend this open house event anytime between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 9. A variety of workshops, a resource fair, and twilight campus tours are just some of the activities scheduled.
“This special on-campus event really shows the many opportunities available to El Camino students as they access a high-quality education that leads to university transfer and careers,” said El Camino College Superintendent/President Brenda Thames.
Prospective students can discover how to access free college fees for up to two years with the South Bay Promise, join an English as a Second Language (ESL) information session, explore career education and training, and learn transfer strategies. Faculty members, counselors, and support staff will be available to answer questions.
At just $46 per unit, El Camino College offers low fees and a convenient South Bay location. Financial aid, counseling, and other support services are available to help students succeed in college. Students can apply now at www.elcamino.edu.
El Camino College is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance. Parking is free for College Night visitors in Lot C, located on Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Lemoli Avenue. Participants are asked to check in at the west entrance of the Student Services building, directly across from Lot C.
El Camino Community College District encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact the El Camino College Outreach and School Relations Office as soon as possible, but no later than seven days prior to the event.
