College doesn’t begin on the first day of class—it begins now! This workshop is your first step toward a confident start at El Camino. You’ll discover essential campus resources, hear about support programs available to you, and gain practical tips to help you succeed from day one and stay on track toward your goals.

Starting college can be overwhelming. The First Year Experience program assists first-time college students with the transition from high school, providing high-touch services like academic advising, transfer counseling, financial aid assistance, and academic learning communities. Our cohort-based learning model will help you make connections with students who are also in their first year of college. Join us to learn how you can be part of FYE in 2026!

Transfer Strategies Workshop

This workshop will address the many transfer opportunities that students have when they enroll at El Camino College. It's never too early to start thinking about the future!

Student Life & Student Leadership Involvement Workshop

Location: Student Services Building - Room TBD

College is more than just classrooms and coursework. It’s a community – and that means connecting with others who love what you love. Student representatives from our Associated Students Organization (ASO) and Inter-Club Council (ICC) will teach you about our many opportunities to get involved on campus whether it is by serving as an elected representative for the student body or by getting involved in one of our over 50 student clubs and associations.
