Division of Behavioral & Social Sciences

The Division of Behavioral & Social Sciences offers instruction in American studies, anthropology, art history, childhood education, communication studies, economics, education, ethnic studies, history, human development, philosophy, political science, psychology, social justice and social science, sociology, and women's studies. 

Behavioral & Social Sciences courses are designed to provide students with the opportunity to examine and gain an understanding in these areas:

  1. Political, social, and economic aspects of past and present cultures in preparation for the future;
  2. Human values, ethical outlooks, moral standards, and their importance in the development of personal worth, obligations and responsibilities; and
  3. Psychological and social forces which shape human behavior and the impact of such forces on all facets of culture.

If you enroll in a hybrid course, check Canvas or the footnote in the Schedule of Classes for on-campus meeting dates and time.  Students enrolled in hybrid BSS classes must be available for the on campus meetings at the times listed in the schedule.
  • Hyflex - All meetings can be attended on campus or online.
