An important part of managing your financial aid is meeting deadlines. We’re here to help you ensure that you meet all requirements needed to access financial aid, while watching important dates and deadlines in the process.

Financial Aid Dates and Deadlines

El Camino is committed to helping you through the financial aid process so you can access your awards. We invite you to contact online staff or reach us by email or phone. When emailing us, use your El Camino email account. To protect your personal information, we can’t respond to emails from non-ECC addresses. Be sure to include your El Camino student ID number. If you visit the Financial Aid Office or lab, be sure to bring your El Camino student ID or any government-issued photo ID.

Verification Deadline for Priority Disbursement Fall 2026 (submit all your required documents by this deadline to be included in the first disbursement for Fall 2026) July 16, 2026
Dependency Override Appeal Deadline July 16, 2026
Student Aid Index Appeal Deadline July 16, 2026
Verification Deadline Summer 2026 July 23, 2026
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal Deadline for Summer 2026 July 23, 2026
Last day to complete FAFSA or CA Dream Act for CA College Promise Grant for Summer 2026 August 13, 2026

FALL 2026

  
Deadline to apply for a Cal Grant for 2026-27 September 2, 2026
Deadline to submit corrections for the 2025-26 FAFSA. Corrections submitted after FAFSA Processing System (FPS) closes the year will not be processed. September 11, 2026
First day to submit the 2027-2028 FAFSA October 1, 2026
60% Point for Fall October 30, 2026
Student Aid Index Appeal Deadline November 6, 2026
