The Fall 2022 Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and Loss of California College Promise Grant (CCPG) Appeal will be available on Saturday, August 27, 2022. If you do not have a break in enrollment your appeal cannot be processed until the SAP Calculation is completed (estimated date: September 26, 2022). The deadline is Thursday, November 10, 2022 if you wish to appeal for Fall 2022.

Apply now for Financial Aid and don't delay! Funds are limited so apply early and be ready for the 2022-23 or 2023-24 academic year. The 2022-23 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act application application covers Fall 2022, Winter 2023, Spring 2023 & Summer 2023. If you are attending ECC in the summer, apply for the 2022-23 award year. The 2023-24 award year for financial aid begins in fall.
If you want to apply in person at the ECC Financial Aid Lab (SSB-229) remember to bring your financial documents for you and your parent(s) as a dependent student. Examples of things to have are social security numbers, date of birth, tax returns or wages (W2). For additional information on the documents needed please visit FAFSA Help.

The El Camino College CARES Emergency Grant is officially closed. Our emergency funding through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) has been exhausted. We are working on new emergency funds to launch in 2023.
Applications for Fall 2022 are currently being processed. Awards are processed every two weeks so it can take up to three to four weeks for funds to be disbursed and deposited in your bank account (if you have a refund preference selected at BankMobile). Automated emails are being sent as the applciations are processed. If you wish to check on the status of your application please contact our office through our Financial Aid Help Desk.

CARES Act Emergency Grant is limited to $2,500 for the fall semester. Additional limitations may apply, please contact our office if you have questions or need support.
El Camino has created the Warrior Emergency Grant to support students who may need additional financial support due to an emergency. The Warrior Emergency Grant committee determines eligibility and notifies applicants of its decision within fourteen (14) business days. The maximum award amount will be determined as requests for assistance continue to be accepted.

Starting now, Income eligible households who need financial assistance for unpaid rent and utilities will be able to apply for help through the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program.
If you have experienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19, have past due rent or utilities, and have a household income that is not more than 80% of the area median income, you may be eligible to receive help to pay past due or future rent and utilities from the state of California.
