Our counselors are ready to meet with you – learn how to make an appointment and set a path to complete your goals. We encourage students to meet with their major counselor once a semester to review and build their plan for future semesters. Prepare for the next semester's schedule today!

Attention Students: Due to meetings, counselors are not available between 10:30am - 12:00pm on Wednesday, April 23 and April 30.

Students: Plan your future semesters early, don't wait! During peak registration times, the form will close down temporarily due to the increase in demand for appointments.

Off-Peak Time Assistance: If you need immediate assistance, you can call or come in person to the Counseling Front Desk to schedule for possible same-day or same week availability. We schedule appointments up to one week in advance. Thank you for your patience!

Steps and Tips to request an academic counseling appointment:

1. Select from the seven Meta Majors below that most closely matches your major, or area of interest.
If you are part of a Support or Success Program, go to "Meet with a Program or Department Counselor".

2. Fill out the request form using your El Camino College email address. Most Returning students who still have an ID number may not have access to their El Camino email; please contact the Counseling office for more assistance.

3. Appointments can be in person, by phone, or Zoom. So we may better assist you with scheduling an appointment, you can select more than one appointment format.

4. In addition to selecting multiple appointment formats, we recommend selecting more than one day/time that you can meet with a counselor. There is also a section where you can clarify your availability, such as your school or work schedule.

5. Get ready to plan your informative session! Have your questions ready for the counselor, and copies of transcripts/test scores/placement survey results for review, if applicable.

How to view your Counseling Appointment

You can view your upcoming appointments in your ECC Connect account! All of the appointment confirmations and other appointment/school correspondence are sent to your El Camino College email address. If you need help with your email, click here to access the IT Services webpage for troubleshooting links and other technology assistance.
