The Title IX and EEO Compliance Office develops, maintains, and monitors the District’s Equal Employment Opportunity Plan and ensures equal employment opportunity and compliance with related rules, regulations, and laws. It is also responsible for coordinating and facilitating compliance with state/federal laws and school board policies & procedures regarding unlawful discrimination and sexual/gender-based misconduct.

Major Services Offered and Coordinated

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of recruitment, selection, and hiring processes to ensure equity and consistency in the recruitment of diverse faculty and staff.
  • Maintain relationships with various community resources to promote equity and diversity within our college community.
  • Monitor programs and activities to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and District policies regarding equal employment, unlawful discrimination, and sexual/gender-based misconduct.
  • Conduct investigations regarding complaints of unlawful discrimination and sexual/gender-based misconduct.
  • Facilitate training for administration, faculty, and staff regarding equal employment opportunity and prevention of unlawful discrimination and sexual/gender-based misconduct in the academic setting/work environment.
  • Support and promote diversity events and programs on campus.
  • Provide resources for District students and employees.
 

The Title IX and EEO Compliance Office is available to answer questions and provide assistance via appointment, phone, email, and Zoom. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
